By downloading, accessing, or using the Tourixt mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Registration

You may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Description of Services

Tourixt provides travel‑related information, including estimated local prices, scam reports, user reviews, safety information, and other travel content. All information is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or safety advice. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

5. Privacy & Data Practices

5.1 Consent to Data Collection

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of information necessary to provide and improve the Service.

5.2 Types of Information Collected

This may include:

• Account information (name, username, email address, profile information)
• Contact information (phone number, email)
• Device information (model, OS, unique identifiers)
• Location data (when permission is granted)
• Usage analytics (features used, screens viewed, crash logs)
• Submitted reviews, reports, price updates, photos, and other content

5.3 Location Services

With your permission, we collect precise or approximate location to provide scam alerts, price data features, and relevant information. You can disable location services in your device settings at any time, but some features may not work properly.

• With your consent: e.g., when you submit a public scam report, your username and report details become visible to other users.
• Service providers: we share data with trusted third parties that assist with hosting, analytics, push notifications, customer support, and cloud storage. They are contractually bound to protect your data.
• Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
• Emergency situations: to protect the vital interests of a person.

5.5 Data Retention

We retain your personal information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes. Anonymised scam reports may remain to protect future travellers.

5.6 Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5.7 International Data Transfers

Data may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the European Union, United States, and other jurisdictions. For transfers from the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

5.8 Third‑Party Links

The Service may contain links to third‑party sites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. Interactions with third parties are solely between you and them.

5.9 Changes to Data Practices

We may update our data practices from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated practices.

6. User‑Generated Content

You may submit reviews, comments, scam reports, price updates, photos, and recommendations. By submitting content, you grant Tourixt a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, modify, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. You remain fully responsible for your content.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Impersonate another person
• Upload illegal, defamatory, or abusive content
• Harass or harm others
• Manipulate ratings, reviews, or price data
• Attempt unauthorised access to the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots
• Violate any applicable laws

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

8. Intellectual Property

All software, trademarks, logos, designs, text, graphics, databases, and content belonging to Tourixt are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Service without written permission.

9. Third‑Party Services & Advertisements

The Service may display advertisements, promoted listings, or links to third‑party businesses. Tourixt does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any third‑party products or services. Any transactions are solely between you and the third party.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tourixt, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your conduct, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third‑party rights.

13. Termination

By You: You may deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time through the app:

1. Go to your Profile.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Select Delete Account.
4. Choose Deactivate Account (temporary) or Permanently Delete Account (irreversible).
5. Enter your password to confirm.

Deactivation temporarily suspends your account and can be reversed by logging back in. Permanent deletion is irreversible and will result in the removal of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

By Us: We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful. Upon termination (whether by you or us), your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) will survive.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tourixt is registered and operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
